- Evaluation of your periodontal status & gum tissues
- Discuss concerns of all or any restorations and check for any leaks or cracks that may be initiating bad breath etc
- Detect any decay, bone loss, oral pathologies such as cysts etc through use of x-rays
- Smile design – evaluate possible cosmetic alterations to enhance or improve your smile
- A review and update of your medical history
- Recording any changes in your prescribed medications and physical condition
- Endodontist, Periodontist, Orthodontist or Oral Surgery referral where necessary
- Check biting patterns to ensure proper function
Preventive
- Removal of all plaque and calculus (tartar)
- Polishing teeth & restorations
- Removal of surface stains to rejuvenate your smile
- Head & neck oral cancer screening
- Flossing & Tepe brushes to clean between teeth
- Fluoride application to reduce sensitivity and prevent decay
Educational
- Toothbrush and flossing advice & instruction
- Healthier eating advice if necessary
- Advice to help you maintain & optimise your oral health
- Preventive plan tailored to meet your future dental needs
